Live Kirtan from Sri Darbar Sahib - ETC out PTC in
Labels: sikh news
In a latest development for the Live Keertan Telecast from Sri Harmandir Sahib (Golden Temple), Amritsar, SGPC has moved the rights from ETC Channel Punjabi to PTC group. Now the Live telecast for Keertan form Sri Darbar Sahib, Amritsar is with PTC group.
PTC will be telecasting Live Keertan on both its channels- PTC News and PTC Punjabi Channel. The timings would remain the same. ( Morning 3.00 - 8.00 a.m, Evening 2 hours depending on Rehras sahib's time). PTC has already decided to give live feed to Tata Sky which means both PTC cahnnels would be avaiable to Tata Sky users also.
While its a major setback fo Etc Channel Punjabi, but they have already bagged the Live Telecast rights from Sri Hazoor Sahib for 300 Saal Gurmat Samagam. But the good news is that we would see the rise of another Punjabi Channel(PTC) like ETC had. Though it is also in news that Sukhbir Singh Badal(who baptized to amritdhari on tuesday) who owns PTC has ployed to move telecast rights to his own channel.
Now as the Live telecast monoply of one channel is over their is a major advantage to Sikh Sangat. Other Channels are also coming up for live telecasts. Time TV has already started live Kirtan from Gurdwara Sri Bangla Sahib, New Delhi. ZEE Punjabi has also started live keertan from Gurdwara Sri Sis Ganj Sahib, Old Delhi.
Other channel group MH1 is also showing Live Gurmat Samagams constantly now a days from all over India on MH1 and Shardaha MH1 which is very good for Gurbani lovers and Sikh Sangat

Ya that's right..a 24 hour gurbani & sikhi dedicated channel is must...
But now Sant Singh Maskinji Katha is not available, similarly, grading of live telecast is very low. Many much viewers are feeling cheated. PTC should meet the requirements for feeding souls of viewers.

i strongly support tothis suggestion
@ chhinderpal Singh Ji Gyani Sant Singh Ji Maskin's Katha rights are with ETC Channel Punjabi and they show it everyday..So watch the Panth Rattan Ji's Katha at ETC..
Well I believe that somewhere PTC and ETC belong to the same group. ETC had the rights till 2010 as far as I know. I think this development is an initiative by ETC guys to provide LIVE telecast to all possible as earlier due to legal ruling, ETC Punjabi was taken off air from Tata Sky.
yes it's a good developemnt, more people will be connected with gurbaani.
although the moment Gurbani program finishes they start the vulgar shows
we need a 24 hr channel, dedicated to Gurbaani
