Gyani Sant Singh Maskin a great philosher, charismatic Gursikh and preacher of Sikhism is the only Gursikh who was awarded "Panth Rattan" while he was alive. It was befitting at the part of SGPC to honor "The Ocean of Knowledge" once again posthumously by installing Giani Ji's Image at Kendriya AJaeb GHar(Cental Sikh Muesem), at Sri Darbar Sahib , Amritsar in a Ceremony on 2nd September, 2008.
Giani Sant Ji Maskin is the first non political Panth Rattan whose image has been installed at the Muesem. This ceremoy was attended by the son and family members of Maskeen Ji. It is beyond doubt that Giani Sant Singh Maskeen was the most venerated and best known religious scholar among the Sikhs due to the fact that he had the in-depth knowledge of Gurmat, comparative religion and the excellent art of delivery. Though Maskeen Ji had already been the recipient of the highest honour “Panth Ratan” during his lifetime, on the day of his Bhog ceremony he was honoured by SGPC with “Gurmat Vidya Marthand” posthumous award.
Another non political Panth Rattan Bhai Jasbir Singh Ji Khalsa (Khannewale), the charismatic Gursikh, kirtani and founder of Sri Guru Harkrishan Sahib Charitable Eye Hospital, image has alos been placed at Central Sikh Mueseum along side Maskin Ji's to hoor the contributions of such great Gursikhs to Sikh Community.
During their lifetime, these Gursikhs have stood tall for the selfless service to all of humanity, and the dedication and commitment to the Sikh Panth.
